When the first franchise store opened in Hong Kong in 2009, catering to customers outside of Taiwan, it proved the international recognition of the brand and its successful business model. In Korea, Gong cha was named the best bubble tea store in 2014, with over 200 stores just 2 years after it’s been launched.

In the United States, Gong cha opened its first California store in 2013. Since then, we’ve rapidly increased our customer following and have opened 26 stores in California plus stores in New York, New Jersey, Texas, Massachusetts, Georgia, and Washington D.C. to keep up with the demand for our quality drinks and stellar reputation.

Exceptions can be made at the franchisor’s discretion for cities with high population density such as San Francisco and Los Angeles.
